흥미로운 내용인데요, 물론 이런 내용은 종종 Microsoft 의 테크넷 자료중에 운영/인프라 관련해서 인용되는 자료이기도 합니다. ^^

Microsoft 어디 자료에서 본듯한데요, 정확한 내용인지는 모르겠으나, Microsoft 에서 패치하나를 공식적으로 배포하기 전에 내부에서 약 2~3 만대 호스트에서 테스트를 거친다고 한것 같으며,

Linux 가 경쟁 운영체제 이기는 하지만 연구를 위해 내부에 약 2~3 천대 Linux 서버를 운영중이라고 합니다. ^^

Microsoft 제품중에는, 개인적인 생각으로는 상당수가 자체 운영을 위해서 개발된 소프트웨어가 외부에 정식적인 제품으로 판매가 되는 것도 많을 것 같다는 생각이 듭니다.
